About the Department

Sri Guru Gobind Singh Chair for National Integration and Sikh Studies, University of Rajasthan was set up in 2017 at the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur through a special grant from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India in order to commemorate the 350 Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh, tenth Guru of the Sikhs. Activities of the Centre include the creation and dissemination of knowledge, research, publication and generation of awareness on national integration and Sikh history and culture.


Library:

The Chair has a library that comprises of about 500 books. The Chair is being evolved as a resource centre for researchers working on Sikh History and Culture. The future plans of the Chair involve the development of a multimedia museum on National Integration and Sikh Culture and History and a bi-annual journal on National Integration and Sikh Studies 2.
